We planted 5 North Pole Arborvitae in June. It is now October 26. Should we water them before a freeze?

Yes, absolutely! Water as late as the weather allows and start again as early in the season as appropriate. Any evergreen plant is alive year round will lose moisture from the needles and young twigs throughout the winter. Keeping the evergreen well hydrated will make all the difference in surviving the winter. under normal winter conditions.
