Black Walnut tree nut reduction

we have 3 large Black Walnut trees. our Dogs are eating the hard nuts as soon as they fall and search for every nut on the ground. This seems to be cracking their back teeth. Is there any way to reduce the production of Nuts other than strong pruning ?

You might consider removing the tree if it is an extreme nuisance. Other than that, there is no easy solution. There are sprays for ornamental plants but not for food-bearing ones. And even at that, it can be costly and not effective unless the entire tree can be sprayed.
