Wand TV had a lady on their news on Thursday at noon that had 2 plants that are good to attract hummingbirds. One of those plants she said had a pineapple aroma. Can you please tell me what the name of that plant? I would also like to know the name of the other plant. Thank you Cathy

Not sure who the guest was or what plants she was discussing. The one with pineapple fragrance is probably Salvia rutile a- Pineapple Sage. There is a green form and a chartreuse form. The leave smell like pineapple. Red flowers appear in fall, close to frost. Any of the salvias are good for hummingbirds including the Salvia elegans types.
