Hello, We bought a patio hibiscus tree last spring and it did fantastic all summer. We brought it in for the winter and it survived and in fact it started blooming flowers inside right before we took it back out. Since taking it back outside, no flower blooms at all. The leaves look good and the tree healthy, but no more flowers. What can we do to get it blooming again? Thank you for your help.

The flowers form on new growth. The plant is probably building up food reserves to form flower buds. I think it's a matter of giving the plant some time. You should see buds and flowers in a couple of weeks. Another possibility is that there were buds when you took the plant outside, and the shock of changing environment might have caused them to drop. As it is a flowering plant, it would help to give it a boost of fertilizer. Any soluble houseplant fertilizer used according to directions would suffice. Nothing is wrong with the plant - you should see flowers soon.
