I need suggestions on evergreens grown in a pot as espelier that can remain outdoors, in a protected area, year round.

Thank you

Your zipcode suggest your hardiness zone is 7 (0-5 degrees F.). In theory any evergreen of your choice coming from a zones colder than yours should work. The hardiness is referring to above ground parts and how cold the soil may get. So while a plant may survive at a particular winter temperature, its roots expecting to be warmer may not as they now will be in a container and could freeze solid. I have seen plants in the juniper family survive here in the Midwest in insulated containers. Contact your local Extension Service and see if they have a list of suitable plant choices.
