We planted a burning bush early this summer on the south side of the driveway. It has not shown any growth but it also has not died. Any thoughts why no growth?

Plants typically spend their first year developing roots system having been transplanted and limited top growth. Given the southern exposure, be sure the burning bush is well watered as it does have a limited root system. Shrubs usually take about 2 years to recover, depending on species and size of the plant.
