Hello, about 3-4 wks ago I planted 2 gold cypress shrubs in full sun.( I ordered them off the internet.) , I thought they looked good but they are the first ive ever had, very green on the inside, yellow on the outer layer and the tips were brownish. But not brittle ,Well a week into it texas gets a heatwave 100-104 and they are turning more brown but still green on inside. Ive been watering them every morning and hoping they will get thru it .... the heat is going to break in a couple more days . What do you think ? Are they dying ? Ur just struggling thru the heat . Any advise you can give would be great. Thanks for your time. Vicki Haynes

Every plant goes through a transplant shock as it is planted in a new location. I am sure your weather is a BIG factor in how it is looking. While they need to be watered, be sure not to over water and water log the soil which rots the struggling roots. The opposite is also true, be sure when you do water, the entire root ball receives moisture. If well watered, it should not have t be done everyday. Misting the foliage may be helpful. If you can provide some temporary shading to lessen the stress that would be helpful.
