My crape myrtle (3 yrs old) half of it is dead Forsythia bush (3yrs old) half of it is dying Hibiscus (in middle of other hibiscus bushes) has died All these plants are in different locations in my yard. What is going on? Some kind of disease? Or a coincidence this is happening? I have been at the same address for 25 yrs. and have never seen this.

The description you share points to an environmental cause, that is impacting several very different plants. Additionally, each could be suffering from different factors such as insect feeding, rodent damage, etc., coupled with weather extremes could be causing the decline you see. For a more focused and local response, contact your local county extension office: http://extension.missouri.edu/
