I am moving from my present home to a new place and I would like to take my Russian Sages with me. It is September, is there a way to take or transplant them in the fall. I really can't wait until spring.

If you are not moving to a state that prohibits moving your plants with you or you not traveling through a state that prohibits traveling through with banned plants you could go ahead and cut them down to about 1/4 their size, dig them up, shake the garden soil off and immediately plant them in a container appropriate to their size. Water them immediately and keep them in the shade to lessen any stress. Once in your new location, weather dependent, plant immediately or heal in to plant next spring.
