I live in Michigan and have brought my China doll indoors since the weather is starting to cool. Is there anything I need to do to ensure bugs are not being brought in? Any other suggestions about making this transition would be appreciate.

Flushing the pot with water will cause any insects in the pot to come out. Rinsing the foliage in a deep sink or using the shower to remove any adult insects is another tactic. If insect eggs are present and you can rub them off, that iwll help as well. Monitor the plant for the next few weeks and if eggs do hatch, rinse or wipe the insects off the plant
