I noticed recently that my arborvitaes are beginning to turn brown on the inside. For the most part, the outside is green. They were planted June 2nd and seemed to be growing normally. Am I over or under watering? Or is this normal? Also its October 10th, how should I handle watering at this point and when do I stop watering?

Arborvitae will naturally lose a portion of their interior needles late summer each year. If you have had adequate rains, no additional watering is needed on a routine basis. Watering one last time before you remove the hose from the house for the winter is a good practice
