Spring flower bulbs, tubers, etc. will need to be planted yet this year if possible to receive the needed cold treatments. Summer flowering bulbs, tubers, etc. need to be held until next spring and planted in warmer or warm soils.
If you are unable to plant those spring bloomers yet this fall, they still need to receive the cold treatment. Leave them in an unheated garage with some damp peat moss or soil mix around them. Plant them as soon as possible next year.
