My hydrangea plant flowers in the spring with red and some blue flowers, the in the fall they color again, this time a sort of rusty red. They will eventual turn brown, but not until the very cold weather arrives. What variety are they or is this coloring up unusual?

Your best opportunity to find out what they are is to take a sample to your favorite garden center or take pictures with you. there are literally many dozens of varieties in the the trade. Would share that the red color is normal, the blues because there is enough acidic soil and the fall change is also normal as the flowers begin to fade for the winter.
