White ash

I have Autumn purple ash ( white Ash ) I am told Last fall it developed dark clusters on some of the branches. Was told they would off this spring. the leaves have gone but the clusters remain. can you help me here. Thanks Danny Noland

These are likely flower clusters impacted by the Ash flower gall mite. The mite causes the distortion and death of the male flowers you see. They will remain on the tree for a long time. Some will fall off each year, but the newly infected ones remain. You can remove them if that is manageable. If you wanted to prevent this, sprays very early in the spring just prior to flowering would be needed. Timing is everything.
