Zimmerman Pine Tree Moth

I have pine trees in my yard that have growths on the trunk that ooze sap. I was told that it is from a Zimmerman Moth. The branches are turning up and I am wondering if these need to be removed. I don't want this to affect other trees and shrubs in my yard.

Any dead limbs should be removed as a sanitation practice. Treaments can be made to manage the moth in mid- April or about the time Saucer Magnolia is in early bloom and again in August to manage adult moths and young larvae
