My China Doll is also dropping lots of leaves and little branches. I just recently moved it to a new sunnier location so I'm hoping the move is the problem as stated in other information provided. My question is will new foliage srout from the trunk or will it only grown from the top of the plant? I am wondering if the trunk will stay bare. Thank you for your help!

China Doll plants will often drop leaves and later re-sprout when they have been moved, transplanted or re potted. they will respond similarly if changes in the watering pattern change. New buds can come from older wood.
