Total Fertilizer Ban

I live on a lake. We have a total fertilizer ban--"any commercially available natural or synthetic material containing manure, nitrogen, phosphorous or potassium, or any mixtures containing a combination there, which is applied to land to increase the fertility of the soil".

What can I buy/use to add to soil to add nutients?

Without knowing more and from your quote, if using compost you made yourself is not banned, that seems to be your only option. You should contact your local county Extension office for a more direct and focused reply. With all the bodies of water in Michigan, this question must come up frequently.
