I just planted small Giant Thujas. Some of them are turning brown. What would cause this?

Thanks, Dan

the most likely cause is transplant shock. While they are all the same species, differences in root structure can cause some to fair worse than others, given post planting care being equal. Balled and Burlapped have less of a root system than those being container grown. Plants in the sun stress more than those in partial shade. Be sure when you water, to moisten the root ball area where right now all the roots are. You should contact your local Extension office for a more focused and local response.
