Are they acid-loving? Can I safely use 14-7-7 Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron food on them?

As long as the soil pH does not fall below 6.2 the use of an acid based fertilizer will work on your peonies. 14-7-7 has a higher nitrogen level so if you start to see all green growth and fewer flowers, lower the rate or discontinue for a season or two until ample blooms show back up.
