Blue Muffin Viburnum

If I were to propigate a cutting via air-layering, would they pollenate eachvother and thuscproduce berries? Or would the new plant, being genetically the same, still not pollenate? Your rooted cutting would be identical genetically and would not work as a pollinator. Another dentatum type would work. Viburnums are generally considered self un-fruitful.

Could you please recommend a dentatum that would work. I have another viburnum in the front yard which was sold by the Local Extension Office in 2007-2008 and it is native. However, it blooms about a week before the blue muffin one, so I cannot pollinate. Can you please suggest a plant that will bloom about the same time. Thank you.

Chicago Lustre and native dentatum populations should pollinate your Blue Muffin.
