I have wild black raspberry plants around oak trees. 1 oak has died. Can these plants damage or affect the oak trees?

Wild raspberry plants and other naturally deposited tree and shrub seedlings should not impact the health of an Oak. the drought of 2012 and harsh winters are more likely to have stressed the tree and it can take 3-5 years or more for a tree to fail
