Yellow Linden Tree

I live in a townhouse developments. I lost 3 Ash trees so about 3 years ago they plant a tree but no information about it. It has a southern exposure. First it took forever to get leaves which were covered in galls. The leaves were all yellow. I went around the complex and my tree was the last to get any leaves and the first to lose them all. I look at this tree and it just makes me sad. I do not really like yellow trees, sorry. I am tired of seeing a tree with barren branches in June, growths on the leaves, not as bad this year but everyone else has trees filled with leaves. Even the trees planted a year later than mine. Last year and the first year I drove around my complex of 130 units, lots of different trees but mine was the only one with No Leaves. Could this just be a sickly tree? Could it have been planted incorrectly? I love trees but not this one. Our soil here has lots of clay. It was planted in the area where there were two diseased Ash trees. Please advise. Thank you for your time and help.

Lindens should be a good solid green color. The green color comes from sunlight combining with elements secured from the soil and moved up into the leaves. A yellow color suggest a lack of chlorophyll. the common element usually lacking is iron. To test that theory, you can spay a liquid form on the leaves. They should green up in 24-48 hours. The tree may have not established very well and is stressed too. The dead ash and removal should not have impacted the linden at all.
