Holly Bushes

Good day. We have several holly bushes that are showing black on the leaves. We have one plant that all the leaves have turned brown and look dead. From my research I think we have tar spot, but I could not figure out a treatment besides removing the diseased leaves. Is there a fungicide that we could use? Thank you for your time.

Holly leaf diseases are often more severe following a wet prolonged spring. A fungicide treatment in the early spring during bud break and while you have new green shoots can provide some protection. Proper pH, pruning to promote good light and air penetration are also helpful. repeated damage can impact plant health. water during dry periods at the soil line, mulching will keep the soil cooler and more moist.
