What is the best evergreen scrub/tree to plant in a partially shaded yard as a screen between homes. Have a space of 150 feet in between homes. Live in Virginia.

Consider Canadian Hemlock and Arborvitae for evergreen coverage year round. Understory decidous small trees, Redbuds. Some shrub viburnums have shade tolerance. I would contact your Goochalnd County Extension office for a more focus reply to your question. https://goochland.ext.vt.edu/
