We have a pyracantha plant (shrub/vine?) that was lots of berries on it the first year. It wa damaged by rabbit the next winter, but seems to have recovered. However it has had no berries since. Are these like the hollies and need more than one plant for pollination to produce the beautiful berries? Also I'm wondering if the location is too wet for this plant to grow a it should.

This plant does not need another plant to flower and set fruit. If soil is too rich or the plant is being fertilized on purpose or is getting fertilizer via the lawn, the nitrogen can stimulate the plant to grow twigs and leaves and not set flowers. Make sure plant does not get any nutrients for two years and see if the plant flowers. also be careful when you prune and how you prune. Prune after plant blooms (will sacrifice some fruit). When pruning, prune selective branches out. Do not sheer the plant or you will remove all of next years flower buds and the current years fruit.
