Lawn color

My neighbor has a golf course "lighter" green lawn. Ours on the other hand is a duller dark green (yes fertilized). Any idea how the lighter color can be achieved? Thanks

Lighter colored grass can be genetic (different type of bluegrass) or the result of limited use of nitrogen fertilizers.
