A FRIEND HELPED ME DO SOME GARDENING AND CUT ALL MY DAY LILLY STEMS OFF. MY MOTHER SAID THAT WE HAVE KILLED THEM. IS THIS TRUE?

Day lilies are very hardy. generally in the midwest they have lost of their leaves do to disease but they then send out new leaves.

Suggest you water them well every 4 or 5 days for 2 to 3 weeks and see if you see new growth.
