Time for a New Lawn

Our lawn basically died this past summer (it never did really well to begin with). We would like to have a company dig up our old sod, lay a good layer of top soil, then reseed or sod. Does the extension office in Kane County offer lawn evaluations or recommend a couple of companies to help us out. We want to do this right. Thanks, Kathy

Extension offices usually do not go out at look at problems on site. Nor is it legal for extension to recommend one company over another. Best to check with friends/relatives to see if they have a good landscape company you can try.
