plumeria

I have been growing a plumeria tree for several years now in my house and it is approaching 4 feet tall... I'm concerned that it will grow too tall for its width, it seems pretty skinny for its height especially if it keeps growing at this speed. My other question is, how come it hasn't flowered yet? I've had it for almost 5 years, maybe its too young?

First the flowers are grown in clusters at the terminal end of the stems. And secondly - they grow 20 feet tall. They need full sun and temperatures above 55 degrees. They need well drained loamy soil that also has equal amonts of sand and compost mixed with the soil (this is called a 1-1-1 mix). These plants are pruned right after they finish flowering and are brought back into flower by top dressing with fresh compost every spring. These plants need misting at least twice a day through out the growing season except from the time the flowers begin to expand and until the flowers fade. Soil must stay moist from March to September. During the rest of the year only water after soil drys out. If you can maintain thess growing conditions, you should see it bloom
