What would be the cause of my hibicus plant droping its buds? These are inside plants in sun windows. The buds are not baby ones the are in the middle stage of development. Thank you

The two most common reasons for dropping buds are drought stress in the above ground portion of the plant due to drowning or lack of water (both cause the same above ground symptoms) and the other is a disease called botrytis. Botrytis often attacks flower buds. They turn brown, dry and die and eventually fall off. The water stress cause the buds to drop off green or they may brown and then fall off.
