Can you recommend any flowering plants that would grow 6' tall or more but would remain within a narrow space to provide a privacy screen at the back of my garden? Light is partial sun.

You have narrowed the parameters so small that I do not think of any plant that will work. Try the new web site at www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/shrubselector This site has a wide listing of shrubs, their growing requirements and mature size.
