I have a hibiscus that spent a spring, summer, and winter in my bathroom and bloomed. It has now spent a summer on my front porch and bloomed. It has never rested. It has grown and bloomed. Fall is coming. What should I do with it? Do I cut it back? Do I force it to rest? It is blooming even now. It is a beautiful plant that has both red and yellow blossoms at the same time.

I was unable to find any information on whether this plant needs to rest when flowering. You need to harden the plant off by getting it use to coming indoors. Bring in for an hour or two for a few days then add a couple more hours in doors repeat till all day light hours are spent indoors. Then leave indoors. When you bring it in, place it where you want to keep it so it gets use to that location. It seems it liked your bathroom so who probably keep it there. To reduce the stress of going in and out, and to reduce insects and diseases coming in with the plant. NEVER take it outside again.
