Transplanting Pachysandra

I have a large area of pachysandra, originally was planted, and flourished, below 2 spruce trees (trimmed at the bottom, making an umbrella effect.) No longer shaded, I am wondering how well pachysandra does when transplanted, and if there are particular considerations, or tips on how to best try this.

Prepare the new bed with generous amounts of organic matter and work that in 4-6 inches. Pachysandra has a shallow root system so replant at the same level. If you can dig and move larger clumps, that would be better. If it is possible to wait till next spirng, that allows the plants to overwinter in and established manner. Go ahead and prepare the bed yet this fall and that would benefit the plants and spread out the labor.
