We found what we believe to be an Edgar's trilobite cockroach in the filter of our turtle tank here at the nature center, but we would like to confirm that since it is unlikely. We ca provide pictures. It has long antennae that are not elbowed nor segmented. From the top, the bug is segmented like a pill bug. It's head is rounded and underneath its top portion. It is brown, gray, and black with distinctive markings. It has three pairs of legs and nothing tail-like.

Between the state entomologist and myself, we believe the bug in question to be a Dubia cockroach which is sold as reptile food in a lot of places. Our state entomologist could take it down further if he could see the actual bug in good condition, being able to measure different parts and go through a key.
