Hi, I found this in my basement. I tried looking it up because it's head/mouth looked so strange, like a hook. All I could come up with is the kissing bug or assassin bug, so, obviously, I like an expert opinion! How can I send a picture?

Thanks

There are over 35, 000 bugs of this type in nature. the coloration and general shape of the insect photos you provided in another thread do not suggest this as a "kissing bug" You bug likely found a crack or crevice to crawl into that eventually lead them to your basement. Without a natural food source, it would eventually perish.
