The Great Plant Escape

Case 6 - Growing Deeper

  • As a follow-up you may wish to have a Plant Appreciation Day or a Have You Hugged Your Plant Today? celebration.

  • As a class project, have the class write a book on "What Plants Mean to Me!" Some students can write, some can design the cover, and some do the artwork. Or each student could develop their own page and they could be bound together.

  • The class could establish a photo gallery or bulletin board about their plants at home. Think about a "Plant Show" at the end of the semester for them to show their plants.

  • Establish a plant library and continue your Great Plant Escape Learning Center. Collect news articles, photographs, and books about plants. In the learning center, conduct experiments with plants and consider establishing a Gro-Lab.
