THERE WAS AN INJURED DEER IN MY YARD BOTH FRONT LOWER PART OF LEGS WHERE BROKEN,IT WAS AFRAID ,IT RAN WITH THE STUBS AND HOOFS FLAPPING, IT WAS HORENDOUS, CALLED POLICE COULD NOT PUT OUT OF MISERY BECAUSE IT WAS MOBILE,I HAVE NOT SLEPT KNOWING THIS DEER IS SUFFERING OUT THERE, WILL IT SURVIVE WITH THESE INJURIES?

I can understand how this scene would be disturbing to you. Deer can often recover from severe injuries, provided they have access to food, water and shelter. I have witnessed three legged deer that survived for years following the injury. If both front legs were broken, the animal faces greater challenges; however, natural processes in nature are often surprising. You could also contact your state Department of Natural Resources office for additional assistance with this situation.
