Wood Ducks

I would like to build nesting areas for Wood Ducks on and around Otterlake. Would I be able to do this with in the realm of the state laws? If so; how big should the boxes be, and the entrance hole? Would like to use ceder wood for the house, is this ok?

I contacted the IDNR district wildlife biologist responsible for that area. He is interested in having you build wood duck boxes. I will send you his contact information.
