What should one do if you encounter a sick, injured or orphaned animal? How do you take care of it, or should you bring it somewhere to help it get better?

Sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife should either be left alone or taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Care should be taken when handling wildlife to avoid injury and disease. In Indiana you can call 1-800-893-4116 to find a rehabber in your area. Purdue has a great website that provides information about wildlife in Indiana: http://www.agriculture.purdue.edu/fnr/wildlife/faq/sick.html
