Feral hogs can be extremely destructive. They are not protected by the Illinois Wildlife Code. In rural areas they can be shot. In urban areas where shooting is prohibited you will need to contact your local Illinois Department of Natural Resources district wildlife biologist (DWB) for guidance on how to appropriately manage the situation.
