Good morning, Getting rid of moles will take some determination. The most effective way to rid your yard of moles is by trapping. Harpoon, scissor-jaw, and choker traps are the most widely used. You can purchase these at most home or farm supply stores. A permit is not needed to trap moles. Following trap instructions will increase the success of this control method. For a detailed guide to trapping moles, visit the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management at: http://icwdm.org/handbook/mammals/Moles.asp. Keep in mind that removing one or more moles will open up the area to invasion from other moles. If the soil conditions are good and there is a food supply, moles will continue to use the area. So the trapping will need to continue on and off over a long period of time. Another option is to hire a nuisance wildlife control operator (NWCO) to trap and remove the moles for you. You can find a list of licensed NWCOs on this website under the "Find a Professional" page. Good luck.
