Mallard Male Duck

It is my first year in the Netherlands and i have been feeding the Mallard ducks in our local canal, for some time now.Suddenly all the males are just missing. I have been looking around in other canals and even there i have only found small groups of females.. Just curious...is this part of the Mallard ducks life style? Thank you. Regards.

Yes, this is common behavior. Mallard ducks are migratory.
