Squirrel trapping

The building management I live in doesn't like squirrels. They have 4 traps out in the courtyard. I've cornered the pest control guy and asked him if he's planning to trap all the neighborhood's squirrels, he laughed and said.."I hope so! That would be more money for me!" Seriously, I'm getting very depressed. I used to watch the antics of my furry friends on the trees from my apartment balcony, but I don't see them anymore. How long can they be trapping my friends??? How long are permits issued for? Aren't there laws that prevent anyone from over trapping?

I know you'll probably tell me to get a life. Every time a hear a ping I think there is a trapped squirral in the courtyard. I cannot sleep well. It is making me depressed.

Hello Rocky, If the building manager has hired a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, they are allowed to trap as many squirrels as they can catch. Of course, if they do not do anything to modify the habitat to make it less appealing to squirrels...more of your furry friends will eventually move in to the building complex. So, you likely will not be lonely for long. Give my regards to Bullwinkle.
