How many rings does a female raccoon have on her tale and the same question for the male? We do alot of coon hunting and would like to allow the females to live. Thank you!

Raccoons typically have five to seven brownish-black rings on their tails. Based on what I've read in the scientific literature, and from talking with trappers, I am not aware of any difference in the number of rings between males and females.
