I was wondering if it is illegal to detroy geese eggs. I was at my school today, leaving to go to my teaching class when I saw our custodians on the roof of our school, throwing the geese eggs, and nest off the roof, and making movements to get the the goose to get off as well, it was a horrible site to see. I was just so outrage at this, that I really want to know for my own benefit. I think this is just an injustice, Yea, I know we have a problem with the geese at the school, and yes I do know that they are making a mess out of our football, baseball, etc.. fields, but really, you need to kill the poor things! Anyway, thanks for your help.

Their actions were illegal. Canada geese and their eggs are protected by federal and state laws. I will forward the information to the appropriate Illinois Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologists.
