I think I have a Red Fox den adjacent to my property. I saw the mother and 4 kits at approximately 8:00 am one morning. The mother was redder than any of the pictures I have seen. Is this normal? Also my daughter saw it's tail this morning hanging from the roof, then the branches on an adjacent tree bow down. Can they climb like that? Thanks, Teresa

Gray foxes are known to climb trees.

Red foxes have several color variants. It would not be unusual for the fur to appear very red.
