We keep finding rat snakes in my yard. 2 of them my neigbor has grabbed and placed in a box and has set them free a mile from my home. The last one she tried to grad tried to bite her so she let it go. The snakes keep going under our cement frnt stoop. How do we keep the snakes away and how do we lure them out from under the stoop? I do not want one of my young children to get bit by one

The snakes will have to come out of the burrow on their own to warm themselves. Once they are out, fill in the burrow with soil. The snakes will not try to bite unless they feel threatened. So as long as the children do not try to pick the snakes up, the snakes will keep their distance.
