Frog in Flower Pot

We have a small frog who spent the summer living in one of our flower pots on our raised deck. Now it is getting cold and he is sort of half buried in the dirt. Is he ok in the pot over winter? Should we relocate him? Any suggestions you could provide are appreciated. We enjoyed his company and want to make sure he lives to see another season.

The pot is not likely to provide enough protection against freezing temperatures. It would be best to relocate the frog in an area with loose soil so that it can burrow down.
