We have a wild turkey problem in our area. They are roosting on my roof. We have tried throwing rocks, sticks and tennis balls. We tried blasting them with water from the hose unsuccessfully. They are defecating and waking the entire household at the crack of dawn. Every night they return to our roof.

Could you please provide suggestions to get them to leave permanently? I am tired of them disturbing our sleep and possibly damaging our roof with their claws and fecal matter.

Please respond as soon as possible we have already had a week of their shenanigans.

I'm not familiar with what the laws are in New Jersey. I suggest that you call a wildlife biologist with New Jersey Fish, Game and Wildlife. They will be able to tell you how to effectively, and legally, get the turkeys to move on to another area. You can find contact info. at: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/contact.htm

Good luck!
