A duck made a nest in a bush in front of our house. She laid 12 eggs. The first week she was there everyday and would fly away in morning when we came out for school but would be back that night. I have not seen her at all in 7 days and thinks she was killed. Is there any hope for the eggs or should I remove them and discard them? Anything we can do?

If the hen hasn't incubated the eggs in more than 7 days, the eggs will not be viable. If she has not come back to the nest, you can discard of the nest and eggs in a garbage bag and put it out for regular trash pickup. Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards with warm, soapy water.
